SHERWOOD PINES 10K & 5K Race Day Information

                                               

                                                Sunday 20th July @ 11.30am

 

 

Directions: Situated off the B6030 between Old Clipstone and Ollerton (follow the brown     tourist signs).  Post code NG21 9JL (for sat navs)

 

Car Park: On entering the park please follow the yellow car park signs to the  event car park.  Car parking is free to all competitors only in the events car park not in the main car park

 

Start Area: The start and finish area is located on the large picnic area close to the toilets and café.

 

Toilets:    Located close to the start by the café.

 

Baggage: Unfortunately we do not have facilities for baggage storage but we will operate a car key drop off facility.

 

Race Numbers:  5K numbers are orange and 10K numbers are white.  Please ensure you            have received the correct colour.

 

Start Time: The 10k and 5K both start in the same place on the picnic area at 11.30am.  Family fun runs start in the same place at approx 1pm       

 

Course:  The course is on well marked footpaths and bridleways.  The course has 1km distance markers.  There is a drinks station at 5k and the finish.

 

T-Shirt:    All finishers of the 10K & 5K will receive a commemorative t-shirt.

 

Presentation: Trophies will be awarded in the following categories:

                  10K senior male & female, 10K Male vet (40+) Female vet (35+), Male Supervet (55+) Female Supervet (50+).      5K First male & female.

 The 10K  presentations will take place at approx 12.45pm by the finish area. The 5K presentation will take place immediately at the finish lline

 

Results:  Results will be published on the website (www.2pointb.co.uk) within 24 hours.  Postal results will be available please leave an SAE at the entry desk.

 

First Aid: Provided by St Johns

 

Fun runs: Approx 1pm for under 10’s (1Km).  Approx 1.15pm for over 10’s (2km).  Please note these are free funruns so numbers will not be issued.  All finishers will receive a certificate.

 

The Park: Sherwood Pines is a great family location.  There is a variety of trails around the park, an adventure playground, cycle hire and go-ape. See www.forestry.gov.uk/england
