Rescheduled after the Winter snows had disappeared, the race ran in early January 2011.

The night before and morning was very wet till just before the race, when it brightened and was dry, and little wind. The going was heavy with a lot of surface water. Temperature approx 8degC
The race day weather was cold though dry and little wind. The frost made the ground running stable. Temp approx -1degC
