The Lincoln Wolds and Waterway Cycle Trip
Route Details
Day One
From your overnight stop on
the waterfront at Lincoln we will leave Lincoln following the River Witham
and the newly opened Cycle Path. We pass through the pleasant Lincolnshire
villages of Washinborough, Bardney and Southrey before arriving at the
impressive Edwardian resort of Woodall Spa. This resort is set amidst
beautiful pines forests and even has a cinema in the woods. We then head
further south to Tattershall which is situated on the southern edge of
the Wolds, an attractive village dominated by its castle. The return journey
will once again use part of the cycle water way and quiet minor roads.
The evening can then be spent exploring Lincoln from your conveniently
placed hotel.

Day Two
Today we will head north mainly
using the route one cycle route. Our destination being the iconic Humber
Bridge the fifth-largest single-span suspension bridge in the world. The
route will take us through the attractive Lincolnshire Wolds so the route
is slightly more undulating than day one but very pleasant.
